I had a wonderful time at the South Sun Hyde Park Hotel, which boasts stunning views of Johannesburg from its rooftop bar. The connection to Hyde Park Shopping Centre was so convenient for my shopping needs, and the outdoor pool area was delightful. My only downside was the confusion over my booking, but overall, the stay was enjoyable.

I had a mix of experiences during my stay. The hotel is conveniently located near a bustling mall, making it easy to explore the area. On the plus side, my room was upgraded, and the dining experience at Luce restaurant was superb, especially the delightful cake they made for our anniversary. However, the service on my visit to the bar was disappointing, with unfriendly staff and a surprising charge for Wi-Fi. Overall, while there were some great moments, I feel there are better options for drinks in the area.
